Talk to the assistant

Dictating

Tap Dictate in the assistant’s message field and speak; what you say is turned into text. You can edit the text before sending.

Voice mode

Tap the Voice mode icon at the top of the assistant screen. In this mode, you talk to the assistant and listen to its replies.

Settings

You’ll find these options under You > AI assistant:

• Send when I stop talking: The message is sent as soon as you finish speaking, without waiting.
• Confirm by voice: In voice mode, you can give the assistant the confirmation it asks for before taking an action by saying “yes” or “cancel.” When it’s off, you can confirm only with the on-screen buttons.

Speech recognition and speech output use your phone’s own features. This requires microphone and speech recognition permissions.
