Photo, location and barcode fields in forms
Besides text and choices, some task forms can ask for a photo, a location or a code.
Photos and files
Tap the field and choose Take photo, Choose from gallery or Choose from files. If the field says it only accepts a photo taken right now, you can only add a photo taken with the camera.
If your computer has no camera
In the desktop app or Flowsy Web, if your computer has no camera, you can take the photo with your phone and send it to the form:
- Click I have no camera next to Take photo. A QR code opens on the screen.
- Scan the QR code with your phone’s camera. You don’t need to be signed in to Flowsy on your phone.
- On the page that opens, tap Take photo, take the picture and tap Send.
The photo is added to the form on your computer automatically. The QR code is valid for 10 minutes and works only once; if it expires, click Create new QR. The photo only goes to that form.
Note: This screen is currently in Turkish only; the labels above are translated.
Location
- Get my location: Adds your phone’s location. Tap Refresh location if needed.
- Pick on map: Mark the location on a map.
A GPS or From map badge shows where the location came from. You can also fill in the optional address or description field. Some forms only accept the device’s current location; in that case you can’t pick on the map.
Barcodes and QR codes
Tap Scan and fit the code inside the frame. In the dark, you can turn on the Flashlight. If the form allows it, you can also type the code.
Note: Camera and location fields need the matching permissions for Flowsy.
