Link a computer or browser

To use Flowsy on your computer, you link the account on your phone. The linked device receives the chats and message history from your phone.

  1. On your computer, open the Flowsy desktop app or Flowsy Web. A QR code appears on the screen.
  2. On your phone, open Flowsy and tap the You tab.
  3. Tap Connected Devices > Link a device.
  4. Point your phone at the QR code on the computer screen.

The QR code also carries the linked device’s encryption identity; your phone saves it and refuses a device that comes in with a different identity. See Encryption when linking a new device.

  1. On the sign-in screen, select Sign in with phone or e-mail.
  2. Enter your phone number or e-mail address.
  3. A New Device Login notification arrives on your phone. If it’s you signing in, tap Yes, it’s me.

If the approval notification doesn’t arrive, you can use the Didn’t get the approval? link on the computer to have a code sent to your e-mail address.

After linking, your old messages are transferred from your phone; see Transfer message history to a new device.

Note: If you get a sign-in request you don’t recognize, tap No, it’s not me. The sign-in won’t go through.
