Create a group

1. In the Chats tab, tap + > New group.
2. Select the people you want to add to the group and tap Next.
3. If you like, add a group name and icon. If you leave Group name (optional) empty, the group appears with its members’ names.
4. If needed, adjust the Disappearing messages and Group permissions settings.
5. Tap Create.

A group can have up to 256 members. The person who creates the group becomes its admin.

You can choose a photo as the group icon, or create an icon from an emoji, GIF, or sticker.
