Clear and delete chats

Clear a chat

Clearing keeps the chat in your list but deletes its messages.

1. Open the chat and tap the ⋯ menu.
2. Tap Clear Chat.
3. Choose Clear all except starred or Clear all messages.

Delete a chat

1. Open the chat and tap the ⋯ menu.
2. Tap Delete Chat and confirm.

Clear or delete all chats

Under You > Chats, you can use Clear All Chats or Delete All Chats.

Note: Clearing and deleting apply only to you; other people’s messages in the chat aren’t affected.
