Add or remove Flowsy AI in a chat

Because Flowsy AI reads a chat’s messages, it’s turned on separately in each chat, with permission. The setting is called Flowsy AI in this chat and is off by default.

In a chat where it’s on:

Turn it on in a one-to-one chat

In a one-to-one chat, Flowsy AI turns on only when both people agree.

  1. Open the chat and tap the person’s name.
  2. Turn on Flowsy AI in this chat.
  3. In the window that opens, tap Turn on.

The text under the switch shows the status:

  • Your consent was sent, waiting for : You agreed; the other person’s consent is pending.
  • wants to turn it on: The other person agreed; your consent is pending.
  • On (you both agreed): Flowsy AI is on in this chat.

When the other person turns Flowsy AI on, a banner appears above the message field in the chat: wants to add Flowsy AI to this chat. Tap Turn on to agree, or Not now to hide the banner.

  • If either of you turns the switch off, Flowsy AI turns off for both of you. To turn it on again, you both need to agree again.
  • Flowsy AI can’t be turned on with someone you’ve blocked or who has blocked you.

Turn it on in a group

In a group, only group admins can turn Flowsy AI on or off.

  1. Open the group chat and tap the group name.
  2. Tap Group permissions.
  3. In the Flowsy AI section, turn on Flowsy AI in this chat and tap Turn on.
  • When it’s turned on or off, a notice appears in the group; for example “Ayşe added Flowsy AI to this chat”.
  • While it’s on, Flowsy AI appears at the top of the member list in the group info.
  • Members who aren’t admins can see the setting’s status in the group info but can’t change it.

What information is used?

While Flowsy AI is on, the chat’s recent messages (up to 40 messages) are kept temporarily on the server for 24 hours. These messages are sent to Flowsy AI only when someone asks a question with @Flowsy AI or when a process suggestion is being prepared.

  • Messages sent before Flowsy AI was turned on aren’t used.
  • When Flowsy AI is turned off, the temporarily kept messages are deleted.

Turn it off

In a one-to-one chat, tap the person’s name; in a group, tap Group permissions. Then turn off Flowsy AI in this chat. You aren’t asked to confirm when turning it off.
